We provide water resources management, water-environment and water quality services to the water sector in Southern Africa.
From a distance planet, earth appears to be blue and abundant with water. Very little of this water is available as freshwater and even less for human use. Our scientific work relates to that portion of water that should remain in freshwater ecosystems to keep them alive and healthy. This battle has intensified substantially in the past 50 years and will become more prominent in the future survival of biological components of planet earth.
The typical classification of water resources are placed into four categories which are depicted by the colours blue (natural), green (good), yellow (fair) and red (poor). Our goal is to keep our resources in the blue category and to restore freshwater ecosystems in South Africa and Africa.
